Letting Go...

When I get overwhelmed by the circumstances I am facing, this song is what I listen to...and I am slowly reminded that I am not in control. Sometimes, it's okay to just let go especially when we get frustrated because we never can fully figure something out...maybe we don't have to...or when we are having a difficult time giving up something we are attached with and think they're very important...maybe, it's God's way of telling us "let go my child, and put your trust in me...I will take care of you because I love you, let me put everything in it's place and you don't have to worry about anything... I want the whole of you, the only thing I want you to think of is that....i love you..."

Happy Thank You!

Amidst the sadness that I feel, after our company has decided to close down...

Today, I take time to pause and thank God for the miracles he gives me everyday. God has taken away something that is very important to me, but surprisingly I feel 'at peace' more than worried because I know... deep within, that there is something better that He has prepared for me. I may not understand now why things like this has to happen but I know I will be okay. God will take care of me and I should not worry, as long as I put my trust in Him.


Thank you God for giving me the opportunity to work with the most wonderful and talented people. I have learned so much about life because of them. I believe that these people came into my life because they had lessons to teach, that I wouldn't have learned any other way.


Thank you Ms. Peapie for believing in me when I, myself had doubts on what I could do for the company. Because of you, I am inspired to give my 100% in whatever I do and always submit excellent projects. Thank you for the toys and clothes for the children at Virlanie.

Thank you JC...you make work fun because of your funny antics and I get the juiciest gossips from you...hehehe. A great father to Mica and faithful husband to Kathy. thank you for giving your time when I invited you to Virlanie Foundation. Thank you for sharing your blessings to the children of Virlanie.

Thank you Carla for your patience and generosity, you had helped me lot. You make days beautiful, and no matter what Caleb says about you, you will always be one of the most down-to-earth and kikay people I know.

Thank you Mae, because you always look after me everytime we are together, you are certainly one of the most real people I know. I will miss your purple nail polish, purple bag and purple shoes.

Get a headstart in your Christmas shopping!

1. Rolls Royce of Chocolates (www.e-royce.com)- this is a favorite pasalubong made originally in Japan. This so far the best chocolate I've tasted. It's not too sweet...the powdery texture adds to the ohh so rich chocolatey flavor...chocolate will melt in your mouth. Elegantly packed and perfect as a christmas give away. The good news is, you no longer need to bug your relatives in Singapore or Hong Kong to get you this, as Artisunal Corporation will bring it to Manila this December 2008, just in time for the Holidays, the store will open at Rockwell Power Plant mall. 2. Ube Bread from Tagaytay Highlands-the breads at the Highlands are freshly baked, among the best sellers are the chocolate chip and pesto breads, my favorite is the ube bread which is generously coated with Ube in very smooth texture. I always buy more than 5 for me and for pasalabubong. One loaf is not enough, I can finish the whole loaf in one seating. If you know someone who is a member of Tagaytay Higlands, you can always ask them to buy you this one from Tagaytay Highlands Country Club pastry shop.

3. Montano's Sardines-my brother-in-law brought several boxes of these (6 jars in a box) from Dipolog City, one in tomato sauce and one in olive oil...and they're delicious!!!! Perfect for breakfast partnered with hot rice or hot pandesal. Available in leading grocery stores.

4. Mary Grace cheeserolls and chocolate cake-I am in looooovvvve with Mary Grace's cheeserolls, the bread is soft and moist and the cheese melts in your mouth. You can buy a piece for P35, and they sell boxes of 6, 12 or more, which is just perfect as christmas treat. The chocolate cake has been our favorite Noche Buena dessert, the cake is moist and oh so delicious...just Perfect!!! Available at Cafe Mary Grace, Serendra and Trinoma

5. Turkey Ham-my parents brought home several when they came here for vacation, good for salads and sandwiches, try it as a substitute for the glazed pork ham we usually serve during Noche Buena. 6. Chocolate Macaroons-I'm not a fan of macaroons but this definitely is worth trying. Home baked by JC's wife, Kathy Santos. They also sell this one in butter flavor-P50 for a box of 8 and P180 for the box of 30. Not bad for an extra delicious treat. Try their Food for the Gods. 7. Cesar's Strawberry wine-Arnel brought this one straight from Benguet, where it is authentically made. If you want to give your friends, officemates, golf and tennis buddies something different this Christmas, you may want to give them this fruit wine. 8. Tita Paring's Suman Latik-my aunt brought a box of Tita Paring's suman on her way back to California. Our family loves suman, and Tita Paring's sumans never fail to satisfy our taste buds. Available at Eunilane Supermarket, Kalayaan Ave, QC. Tel no:922-1089.

9. Margie's Torta espanol- it's a buttery mamon ala Margie's style. I had this distributed Christmas of 2005. The trip to Merville Paranaque to pick up the goodies was worth it. Pair it with hot chocolate while reading your favorite book or watching your favorite DVD. Call 0918-9082576.

I was browsing my pictures when I saw this one. This is my favorite group pix of all. This was taken when I invited them over to Tagaytay. I had a BLAST!!! that weekend, this group is certainly the Funnest and the 5 of the most Real People I know...Walang arte sa katawan...GAME SA LAHAT...If you don't know them you would think that you wouldn't be able to jive in but you'd be surprised, they are the most considerate people on EARTH....You would want to listen to their conversations and you'd find out how they try to live their lives to the fullest and make the most of life. I would like to be like them or at least have the traits I most admire about them...FUN and FEARLESS...Kasi ako... ay completely opposite of who they are...MAARTE!!! I have known this group for several months now, somehow the beauty and the sincerity I see in them is rubbing off on me...I would like to think so.

After reading Oprah's list, I got inspired to list down my own top 20. I looked back and thought of what I've learned for the past 2* (still young :) heheh). I was able to come up with 10. 5 or 10 years from now, I may be able to add 10 more to my list:


1. You are responsible for everything you do
2. You cannot give what you do not have
3. Only you can create the life that you want-no one will live your life for you
4. Everything in life is a choice-so if you're miserable, it's your fault;you choose to be in that state. You can't blame other people for it.
5. There will always be someone who will be prettier, smarter, richer, more popular than you....so quit being resentful and make the most of what God gave you
6. You can make more of money but you cannot make more time-every minute counts, spend your time wisely
7. If it's really meant for you, the universe will conspire to bring it to you
8. What you give to the universe will come back to you a hundredfold
